Sanjay Singh, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party, was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Tuesday. The court also asked pointed questions of the Enforcement Directorate, which had detained Singh, asking why he had been detained for nearly six months without a charge sheet or evidence of suspected bribery. two crores.

Since being taken into custody in October on suspicion of running a liquor policy scam, Sanjay Singh has been held in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. The opposition parties are furious since it was discovered that arrests were made of both Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Mr. Sisodia only a few weeks prior to the elections.
Mr. Singh was taken into custody on allegations pertaining to purported money laundering associated with the purported fraud. His prior bail requests, which were heard by the Delhi High Court as well, were denied; in fact, the High Court said in February that there was “no basis” for release.
Then, the ED had challenged the bail request, claiming that Mr Singh had a hand in accepting, holding, hiding, disseminating, and utilising the money obtained from the purported liquor fraud.

Mr. Singh can be released while the matter is pending, according to the bench of Justices Sanjeev Khanna, Deepankar Datta, and Prasanna B. Varale. Ultimately, relief was given this afternoon.
The trial court will decide the terms of release, according to the court. Even though Mr. Singh has been advised not to comment on the pending inquiry, it’s important that he is able to engage in political activities. The court further declared that bail in these circumstances cannot be viewed as a precedent.
Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Mr. Singh’s colleague Atishi said on Twitter that “Truth alone triumphs” or “Satyamev Jayate” upon learning of Mr. Singh’s release. He said this morning that if they weren’t members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he and four other AAP officials had been detained by federal agencies in relation to the purported liquor policy scandal. The opposition has frequently charged that the central agencies are specifically targeting BJP opponents, particularly in the run-up to elections. The accusations have been repeatedly refuted by the BJP.
