Fans chose the Red Center-Back, who had previously won the trophy in November, to receive the accolade for January.

In all three of the team’s games during the month, Bonar played the whole ninety minutes, and her late-game victories against Bristol City guaranteed the team’s advancement in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

“I’m appreciative of the prize. After accepting the trophy at the AXA Melwood Training Centre, Number 23 told liverpoolfc.com, “Our fan club is a special part of us, and receiving the award voted by fans is special.”

“Since I came here and even when I’m away, they’ve always been incredible for me, so it’s special for me.”

“Wherever we play, we can hear them, and it feels like a home game because we can hear their support, so we know we’re incredibly lucky to have such great supporters, and they certainly help us get through it.”

The club worked hard to secure the win with eleven players following midfielder Seri Holland’s departure due to two yellow cards, and the cup triumph in Bristol City was the highlight of the month.

Bonar stated, “It was a big win, perhaps the first game after Christmas was always going to be challenging for us.”

“We’re not happy with our performance so far this year, but I think the Bristol City game gave us the way to win.”

“We persevered with what we did to obtain the result we did because the FA Cup is a huge competition and one we want to succeed in. Despite the lacklustre performance, we achieved the desired outcome and fulfilled our obligations.”

“From the beginning of the year, we’ve had some challenges ahead of us, but I think the strength of the group, the group’s attitude, we always fight, and that’s a big strength for us.”

In addition to scoring her third goal of the year, Bonar’s performance at Ashton Gate won her high appreciation for her willingness to risk her life for the squad.

She continued, “First and foremost, I’m a defender, and my job is to stop the ball from going into the net.” “I had to do a lot of defending, but for me, I just try to do my best for the team and help wherever I can.”

“I have a lot of experience, obviously, and we have some young players, so I try to be my best and help the team as much as possible.”

The LFC Women will now concentrate on the Women’s FA Cup fifth round, which begins on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM GMT with a trip to London City Lionesses.

The squad will travel south in high spirits following their FA Women’s Super League matchup of 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, which helped to bolster morale.

“We all know our performance hasn’t been what we wanted, but I think the Spurs game, we knew it was going to be a challenge, they’re around us in the table and playing some good football,” she explained. ‘Gemma Bonar.’

“The way we conceded the goal, we were disappointed, but again, it shows the fight in this group, and we kept pushing, and maybe if the game went a little bit longer, we could have got another goal.”

“It’s definitely an improvement in performance, and it’s something we’ll take into the next game.”

“The FA Cup is a big competition, everyone wants to play in the final at Wembley, and as a club, it’s something we’ve never been successful in, so for me, I enjoy playing in the FA Cup.”
